ESP-LXIVM Surge Protection:
IVM-SD (Integrated Valve Module Surge Device):
This device provides surge protection along the two-wire path of the ESP-LXIVM controller. Installation is recommended every 500 feet or every 15 field devices, whichever is less, to effectively divert high-energy surges to the ground. Proper grounding of each IVM-SD is crucial for optimal performance.
Integrated Control (IC) System Surge Protection:
ICSD (Integrated Control Surge Device):
Designed specifically for Rain Bird's IC systems, the ICSD supplements the built-in surge protection of each Integrated Control Module (ICM). Strategically installing ICSDs throughout the system helps absorb and safely redirect electrical surges, enhancing overall system resilience.
